1. Appointment Rules

1.1 Salary & Allowances

All appointments shall receive salary as per the PCI/Institutional pay scale, along with Dearness Allowance (D.A.) and any other allowances approved by the Management from time to time.
Salary structures may vary for teaching and non-teaching staff as per institutional norms.

1.2 Probation Period

All new employees (teaching and non-teaching) will serve a probationary period of two (2) years, during which their performance, conduct, and suitability for the post will be assessed.

1.3 Termination during Probation

During the probationary period, the Management reserves the right to terminate services at any time without notice or assigning any reason.

1.4 Duties & Responsibilities

  • Teaching Staff: Must adhere to the academic schedule, teaching workload, and additional responsibilities as per PCI norms, including academic, administrative, research, and student-related duties.
  • Non-Teaching Staff: Must perform administrative, technical, clerical, or support duties as assigned by department heads or management.

1.5 Leave Entitlement

All teaching and non-teaching staff is entitled to the following:

  • 15 days Casual Leave (CL) per calendar year.
  • 12 days Earned Leave (EL) after completing one year of continuous service.
    Additional leave categories (medical leave, maternity leave, etc.) may be granted as per institutional policy and statutory guidelines.

1.6 Termination after Confirmation

After successful completion of probation, employment may be terminated by either party by providing three (3) months’ written notice or salary in lieu of notice.

2. Promotion Rules (Teaching & Non-Teaching Staff)

2.1 Performance-Based Promotion

Promotions for both teaching and non-teaching staff will be based on:

  • Job performance
  • Conduct and discipline
  • Contribution to the institution
  • Feedback and appraisal reports
  • Attendance and punctuality

2.2 Eligibility Criteria

  • Teaching Staff: Must meet the academic qualifications, PCI/AICTE/University norms, research activities, and minimum years of experience for higher posts.
  • Non-Teaching Staff: Must meet required qualifications, skill levels, experience, and departmental standards.

2.3 Annual Performance Appraisal

All staff members will undergo an Annual Performance Review. Promotions will be considered based on appraisal scores, achievements, and overall work behaviour.

2.4 Promotional Opportunities

Promotions depend on factors such as:

  • Availability of posts
  • Recommendations of the Selection/Promotion Committee
  • Institutional requirements
  • Staff achievements and performance records

2.5 No Automatic Right to Promotion

Fulfilling minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee automatic promotion.
The final decision rests solely with the Management/Selection Committee.

2.6 Conduct & Disciplinary Consideration

Any misconduct, negligence, policy violation, or disciplinary action may adversely affect promotional eligibility.
